Which documents are necessary for issuing an eligibility certificate?

Those without a home:

  • Identity documents of the applicants (for new immigrants – An immigration document is well)
  • A marriage certificate or verification of registration for marriage
  • Verification by the Town Major of continuous compulsory IDF service.
  • Verification of service from one of the recognized National Service Associations
  • Details of children up to age 21 who are supported by the applicants (from the identity documents)
  • A list of brothers and sisters (who reside in the State of Israel) of each of the applicants (including given and surnames, birth date, address and 9 digit ID.

Loans to eligible persons are provided pursuant to the definitions of the government aid programs and pursuant to an eligibility certificate issued by the Ministry of Building and Housing.

How is an Eligibility Document Issued

You can submit an application for eligibility certificate via Mercantile and verify your rights, even if you have not yet found an apartment in the offing.
A valid eligibility certificate is a material condition for receiving housing aid within the frame of reference of the government aid package.
An eligibility certificate is valid for one year from the date of its issue and, consequently, it is worthwhile producing the eligibility certificate prior to purchasing.
